Gerente Infrastructure Transactions en Madrid

MISSION:

• Our mission is to be the reference area for strategic projects on infrastructure consolidation and inorganic development  (e.g. vehicles for alternative investment as NetCos of FiberCos)
• Originate & develop infrastructure  consolidation & inorganic development opportunities
  • Type of projects: Creation of vehicles for alternative investment (e.g. NetCos of FiberCos), network sharing and consolidation, spectrum pooling, strategic infrastructure acquisition, divestment & partnership
  • Our contribution: Strategic & competitive analysis, implementation strategy, valuation, deal negotiation
     
• Strategic input on the infrastructure side for corporate development and spectrum processes
  • Type of projects: Mergers and acquisitions, Post-merger integrations, spectrum auctions
  • Our contribution: Support on M&A process on due diligences and synergies valuation (infrastructure part), drive alternatives & complementary sharing/pooling scenarios to maximize spectrum value
• In scope: Infra projects representing significant part of OB value, with transactional component requiring valuation and strategic / competitive analysis or underpin a major change in OB strategy
• Out of scope: Technology strategy, decisions  or  roadmap, IT consolidation 
   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead infrastructure consolidation projects working with the operating business and corporate teams (CTO, Control)
• Manage the relation with key project stakeholders (CTOs, CSOs)
• Define key principles strategic analysis and valuation
• Help the director on team management and development
• Participate on negotiations for network sharing or infrastructure consolidation deals
• Ensure that best practices in infrastructure consolidation are developed and shared within Telefonica
• Lead strategic analysis and valuation from the infrastructure side on inorganic development projects (M&A, strategic assets acquisition or divestment)
• Support other areas within the Strategic Projects Directorate (Strategic Planning, Spectrum Transactions) on infrastructure strategic investment decisions (3YP, spectrum auctions)

BACKGROUND:

• Engineering or Business degree (or equivalents)
• Other degrees to be considered if candidate has relevant experience
• MBA or similar highly valued

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Detailed knowledge of mobile/fixed networks & technologies and key cost drivers
• Deep understanding of Telco market dynamics/ value drivers, especially for those markets within Telefonica footprint
• Experience in business valuation, financial modelling and investment analysis (mainly in projects with a technical / infrastructure component)
• Experience in network-related strategic projects
• Experience in network sharing, strategic planning / investment appraisal

LANGUAGES:

• Spanish: Bilingual - High
• English: Bilingua - High
• German/Portuguese - Beneficial

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in strategy, financer o technical projects (Network Strategy, Business Strategy, Network Capex/Opex planning or investment appraisal)
