Telxius is the telecommunication infrastructure company of the Telefónica Group managing a unique combination of towers and an international network of high capacity fiber optic submarine cables. As specialists in telecommunication infrastructure, we aim at enabling the best communication for our customers. Telxius offers advanced services on its 87,000 km international network which consists of ten high capacity submarine fibre optic cables, including two of the highest capacity systems in the world, MAREA and BRUSA, both already open for business. In addition, we have one of the largest telecommunications tower portfolios on the market with almost 16,500 towers in six countries.

 

MISSION

 

Continue to grow Telxius market share and revenues in North America by successfully and efficiently managing and motivating the North American Sales team in exceeding revenue objectives and customer expectations. Position Telxius as the wholesale market leader Globally for companies requiring innovative and quality services to Latin America & Europe.

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

-Lead, manage, and motivate North America sales team in selling Telxius products and services to exceed revenue objectives. 

 

  • Manage and coordinate the sales process, RFPs, and commercial offers for customers  players (Carriers, OTT’s and others)
  • Coordinate sales strategy, pricing & positioning with the various business units to deliver winning solutions across all product lines.
  • Coordinate sales strategy, pricing and positioning for infrastructure projects, especially on new submarine cables
  • Develop innovative customer solutions to differentiate Telxius.
  • Lead negotiations for complex service offerings of strategic significance, such as those with high volumes, or deals with special requirements, and or aggressive time constraints.  
  • Lead sales team in achieving long term, mutually beneficial commercial relationships.
  • Ensure that all sales team members establish strong relationships with Telxius customers, and are seen by our customers as trusted advisors
  • Successfully manage and coordinate contracts and services with partners/providers as required.
  • Lead negotiations with third party partners/providers as required for success with large players, including the US Federal Government. 
  • Establish and track Sales Plan for Region and Account Managers to ensure success.

-Ensure achievement of team revenue objectives, while maximizing margins, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Identify, and pursue new strategic business opportunities
  • Stay in tune with market pricing to ensure TELXIUS positioning, while maximizing profits, to grow market share.
  • Develop and lead business plans to succeed in complex and non-standard projects.
  • Identify and stay in tune with TELXIUS strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in order to maximize revenues, and increase market share in a rapidly changing market.
  • Detect and identify problem areas, or areas requiring improvements, and develop corrective action plans.-Manage & lead sales team to achieve objectives

-Direct and motivate team members to work together in exceeding regional objectives.

 

  • Define group objectives, and monitor and track progress.  Develop and implement improvement plans as required.
  • Organize group activities, and lead team initiatives that promote a positive work environment ensuring the success, and satisfaction of all team members.

-Represent TELXIUS in key meetings, events, and trade shows to grow our relationships with key partners, while further elevating TELXIUS’s corporate image in the Telecom industry.
