IQVIA™ Real-World Evidence (RWE) teams work with clients to help them collect and use real-world data to generate evidence to meet the needs of regulators, payers, providers and patients. IQVIA Global Outcomes Research unit, part of the broader Health Economic and Outcomes Research and Health Technology Assessment department, focuses in site based NIS with the aim to collect data on burden of disease, treatment patterns, patient reported outcomes, amongst others.

Position Purpose

The most important role of a Senior Consultant is the management of HEOR projects of all types; ie ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects or components of multi country projects including being the final point of detailed QC for deliverables. Management will often include liaising with other departments and geographies within IMS and managing sub-contractors.

SCs are also responsible for coaching within project teams and have line management and/or mentoring responsibility for several members of the HEOR team. They are expected to contribute to business development, mainly through attracting follow-up work to successful projects and by producing proposals in response to RFPs.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and project manage study fieldwork of multiple, multi-country projects within client deadlines with the support of more senior colleagues.
  • Set guidelines and write study protocols an CRFs
  • Monitors study logistics.
  • Detect possible deviations or problems in study fieldwork and find best solution.
  • Reporting project development directly to clients
  • Participate in customers and investigators meetings.
  • Administration control of the fees and expenses during the Project (travels, meetings, investigators payment).
  • Work within Quality Assurance SOP’s; follow up SOP’s, attend training, participate in internal and external audits, support SOP’s update to Quality Assurance
  • Support proposal development

  • Life sciences degree
  • PhD will be an additional value
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); strong business/scientific written English.
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 relevant years experience working in clinical observational studies
  • A thorough knowledge of HEOR methods and approaches plus of working in health economics/outcomes research/health services research outside IQVIA, with management responsibility.
  • Understanding of the health care sector and the pharmaceutical market, gained through the delivery of consulting engagements and ideally also through experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices sector outside consulting.
  • Experience of working in sizable/multi-disciplined teams and supervising staff.
  • Experience of developing credible relationships (remotely) with senior level managers and executives.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal with strong client influencing skills.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

  • Good understanding of and interest in the international health care environment .
  • A good knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques related to these areas.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships.
