Our client, a leading international humanitarian organization, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Coordinador de Proyectos de Ayuda Humanitaria to manage critical aid programs from a remote setting. This role is essential for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian projects aimed at alleviating suffering and providing essential support in crisis-affected regions. You will work closely with field teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of aid. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management skills, a deep understanding of humanitarian principles, and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment. This is a fully remote position, requiring strong digital communication and coordination capabilities to support operations across various challenging contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project cycle of humanitarian initiatives, including needs assessment, design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial controls.
• Lead and support field-based project teams, providing guidance and remote supervision.
• Coordinate with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners to ensure effective program delivery and synergy.
• Ensure that all projects are implemented in accordance with humanitarian principles, international standards, and organizational policies.
• Develop and submit timely and accurate project reports to donors and senior management.
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to project implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to proposal development and fundraising efforts for new humanitarian projects.
• Organize and facilitate remote coordination meetings and stakeholder consultations.
• Champion best practices in humanitarian aid delivery and capacity building.

Requirements

• Master's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Humanitarian Action, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in humanitarian program management, with a significant portion spent in field operations.
• Proven experience in managing complex humanitarian projects in conflict-affected or disaster-prone areas.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, international humanitarian law, and the cluster system.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, financial oversight, and reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in remote team coordination.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
