AREA DESCRIPTION:

At Networks Innovation, we are inventing Telefonica’s next generation businesses. Our teams of network hackers, developers, UX specialists, data scientists and agile product managers are tasked to push the limits of traditional telco business through technological, commercial and strategic innovation.
The ARIANA innovation project wants to use AI to monitor automatically Telefonica’s networks data streams in order to identify problems, recommend solutions, automate resolution and predict customer and networks behaviour over time.
The main goal of the project is to build a system that can:
•    Monitor: using generic time series coming from any source (middlebox, radio, web servers, mobile devices, marketing data…) 
•    Detect anomalies: performs automatic anomaly detection.
•    Identify the reason: When an anomaly is detected combine many streams with the topology/context to find the most probable cause.
•    Estimate the business impact:  Understand the importance of the problem. 
•    Notify the right people/teams: Find the right people that have previously resolved the problem. 
•    Propose solutions: If this problem has been seen before identify the possible solution. 
•    Automatically resolve: If the devices can be reconfigured (NFV/SDN) we can automatically apply a fix.
•    Correlate: Automatically correlates time series and extracts hidden relationships (e.g. sales go up when latency goes down). 
•    Optimize: Find bottlenecks or misconfigured points of the network and propose solutions to optimize/resolve the issues
•    Forecast: time-series in advance (faults, QoE etc)

The ARIANA innovation project is looking for a data scientist/engineer to join his technical team.

MISSION:

The ARIANA innovation project is looking for a data scientist/engineer to join his technical team.

MAIN DUTIES:
•    Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing
•    Clean, analyse and select data to achieve goals
•    Build and release ML/DL models for ARIANA next product features
•    Work on data analysis and modelling infrastructure for both offline and online use cases 
•    Collaborate with colleagues from science, engineering and business backgrounds.
•    Present proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions
•    Build customer interface to visualize results and provide reccomendation

EDUCATION:

Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

•    Understanding and experience with machine learning and deep learning techniques and algorithms like SVM, KNN, Naives Bayes, Neural Networks
•    Experience with frameworks like MatplotLib, Scikit, TensorFlow, Keras (Python Stack) 
•    Experience with data visualisation tools 

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

•    Proficiency in using query languages 
•    Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. 
•    Good experience with Python  
•    Knowledge and experience with front-end development 

EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED
> 3 years of experience in one or several of the following roles:
•    Data scientist / engineer

DESIRED
• Telco analytics
• Networks and access virtualization

LANGUAGES:

Spanish and english required
