Get Paid To Have Fun! The Intern Group are excited to be recruiting for our Madrid based Experience Coordinator position. We require an energetic and responsible candidate who will be tasked with social event execution, student liaison and providing a strong cultural immersion for all of our program participants. The Experience Coordinator will play a vital role in our Madrid program and will get the chance to experience the best of what this city and Spain has to offer, whilst getting paid to do so!

The Madrid Experience Coordinator is the perfect role for someone interested in working with young people and social events. You will ensure that the student's stay is social, welcoming and memorable. The role is integral to the feedback and success of the program and requires an enthusiastic personality with great communication skills. Whilst the role is part-time, you will be a key representative of the Madrid program and will be vital towards the success of our program.

The nature of the role means that both weekend and weeknight work will be compulsory. You will also be likely to spend 2 days a week on average in the office to execute administrative tasks e.g. welcome packs and some marketing. Hours will be casual to start. Therefore, the role would be well suited to a university student or someone who welcomes flexible working patterns and enjoys a varied and outgoing role.

You should have:

  1. - BILINGUAL level of English
  2. -Excellent organizational & time management skills
  3. -Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal
  4. -An adaptable personality to manage an ever- changing workflow
  5. events is strongly preferred.
  6. -An in-depth knowledge & familiarity of Madrid and what the city has to offer
  7. -An outgoing, highly social and engaging personality
  8. -The ability to practice cultural sensitivity & engage with people from all around the world.
  9. -Effective problem solving & conflict resolution skills
  10. -The right to work in Spain (Spanish or EU passport)
  11. -Previous international travel e.g. studying or volunteering abroad and/or an interest in travel would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Orientations & Social Events:

  • -Manage our major arrival weekends on the first Saturday of the month in conjunction with the Program Manager.
  • -Organize, execute and manage all of our program social events, including an exclusive summer and winter party
  • -Create and host exciting weekly social & cultural meetups for participants that show of the best of what Madrid has to offer!
  • - Other events included in our program

Social Media & Marketing:

  • -Capture engaging content at the events & meetups to be used for our social media platforms both in-country and for our global marketing team.
  • -Social media content should capture the essence of the event/meetup
  • -Ensure strong event attendance through prior online communication

Student Welfare:

  • -Complaints management - use complaints documentation and processes to deal with any complaints that are received and ensure that these are followed up and resolved in a timely fashion
  • -Always be a sounding board for student issues, questions and feedback during events & social situations
  • -Communicate closely with our Program Manager to ensure that our team provides excellent customer service.

Office Admin:

  • -Ensure that all information and documentation is recorded and kept up to date on a weekly basis
  • -Ensure that events run smoothly by communicating with and organizing our students beforehand
  • -Create the orientation packs for each student before arrival
  • -Assemble welcome packs for each student before arrival
  • -Organize the transfers upon arrival and drop off.
  • -Dependent on company needs, some business development may be required
