The position
The RES Global Graduate Programme is a two-year development programme designed to provide graduates with meaningful work experience, professional development and exposure to different areas of the renewable energy industry.
Over the course of the programme, graduates will complete three rotations of approximately eight months each across different teams, functions or business areas. Each rotation is designed to build technical capability, commercial awareness and leadership potential while helping graduates develop a broad understanding of RES and the renewable energy industry.
Graduates will work on real projects, collaborate with experienced colleagues and be encouraged to take ownership of their development while making meaningful contributions to the business. Through a combination of structured learning, practical experience and professional development opportunities, graduates will build the skills and experience needed for a successful long-term career at RES.

Role Purpose
This track of the RES Global Graduate Programme is based in Albacete, Spain, within the Service organisation. Through three rotations, graduates will gain broad, hands-on exposure to key areas of the business, including Operations, Commercial, and Business Support functions (such as Supply Chain, HSEQ and Engineering). The programme is designed to provide a well-rounded understanding of how the business operates, while developing skills in project and stakeholder management, problem-solving, collaboration and business performance.
Rotation 1 - Operations
- Develop a broad understanding of how RES Services manages the operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets across Spain. Gain exposure to operational planning, resource management, customer delivery, performance monitoring, and business processes that support day-to-day operations.
- Work closely with Operations teams to understand how projects and maintenance activities are planned and coordinated, how operational performance is measured, and how different functions collaborate to deliver services safely and efficiently.
- Develop an understanding of the challenges, priorities, and decision-making processes involved in managing a large operational portfolio within the renewable energy sector.
Rotation 2 - Commercial
- Gain exposure to the Commercial function, supporting activities related to customer relationships, contract management, business development, market analysis, and commercial strategy.
- Support commercial initiatives and learn how business opportunities are assessed, developed, and translated into long-term value for customers and RES.
- Develop an understanding of how commercial decisions influence business growth, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
Rotation 3 - Business Support
- Gain exposure to key support functions that enable the successful delivery of RES Services operations, including Supply Chain, HSEQ and Engineering.
- Work alongside experienced colleagues to understand procurement and supplier management processes, health, safety, environmental and quality standards, and the engineering expertise that supports operational performance.
- Develop a broader understanding of how these functions collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to drive efficiency, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across the business.
Knowledge and Skills — Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships across diverse, geographically dispersed teams in both Spanish and English.
- A curious, adaptable learning mindset, open to feedback and continuous development.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on high-quality work.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines — including transitions between rotations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); data analysis/reporting tools are a plus.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, office-based environment, working both in person and virtually.
- Accountable and professional, committed to RES values, safety culture, and ethical practices.
Qualifications
Expected to have achieved, or recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in the disciplines below. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong academic performance (a grade average of 6.5 and above is preferred) and a genuine interest in the renewable energy industry.

What Will Help You Succeed
While not required, the following would be considered assets:
- Previous internship, university project, or placement experience in renewable energy, engineering, operations, maintenance, asset management, or related technical fields.
- Participation in team projects, student associations, competitions, or extracurricular activities that demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- Basic knowledge of project management, business fundamentals, data analysis, or process improvement concepts.
- A proactive mindset and genuine passion for building a long-term career in the renewable energy sector.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Spain for project exposure and site visits.
