Market Analyst Intern | Madrid

Are you interested in energy markets, data analysis and forecasting? Join an international team and gain hands-on experience analysing the electricity and gas markets.

As a Market Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

• Monitor the evolution of electricity and gas markets, identifying the key factors driving price formation.
• Support market forecasting and fundamental analysis to help inform decision-making across Short-Term Trading and Power & Gas Trading teams.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of fundamental models for electricity and gas markets.
• Support the development and maintenance of forecasting models for prices, generation, demand and other key energy-market variables.
• Contribute to the implementation of Machine Learning and advanced analytics techniques where they can add value to forecasting and market analysis.
• Participate in backtesting, benchmarking and model validation, analysing results and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, CWE analysts, data and regulatory teams to develop new methodologies and tools supporting the business.

• €1,000/month
• Hybrid working model: 100% on-site during the first 3 months, followed by 50% remote work
• Location: Madrid
• Full-time internship
