We are looking for a number of passionate and dynamic Tour Bus Drivers to join Big Bus Tours on a permanent, part-time or seasonal basis. Please specify the type of work you are interested in when applying.

The main responsibility of a Tour Bus Driver is to drive our customers on designated routes in Madrid, and to prioritize safety and maintain a high standard of driving. To ensure that the companies schedules and routes are followed. To always greet customers with a smile and be an important part of the customers Big Bus Adventure.

Please find below a full job description for the role:

Key Responsibilities

Professionalism

• Report on time to the depot (or office) as scheduled in company uniform
• Perform and complete walk-round checks / pre-trip inspection of assigned bus for Tour including checking if bus is clean and ready to receive passengers
• Follow the given route and instructions as scheduled
• Stop at every bus stop on the route (regardless of whether passengers are present)
• Always maintain the safety of the bus and passengers during the tour
• Follow all traffic laws rules / regulations
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately per company policy

Team Spirit

• Collaborate closely with all team members to deliver highest level of customer service
• Always greet customers with a smile and kind approach
• Have a flexible approach to work

Requirements

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the tourist attractions in Madrid
• Customer Service experience
• Familiarity with Madrid roads and routes an advantage

Skills

• Excellent driving skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Competencies

• Valid driver’s licence for Spain and all the relevant driving cards/paperwork
• Knowledge of basic English language would be desirable but not a must
• The right to live/work in Spain
• Availability for test driving and interview in Getafe, Madrid
