Identity and Access Management Expert

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Identity and Access Management Expert to join our IAM Center of Excellence within the CISO office.

The responsibility of this team is to safeguard ING’s digital identities by defining, managing and monitoring roles, access privileges and identity lifecycle processes, ensuring that users have the right access at the right time and under the right conditions; and our way of working is collaborative, risk-based and improvement-oriented: we partner with stakeholders across the organization, provide expert guidance, challenge complexity, and continuously look for better ways to strengthen IAM controls, compliance and user understanding.

Your key responsibilities:

As an Identity and Access Management Expert, you will:

Support the review, analysis and remediation of digital identity and access management issues, helping ensure that IAM activities are executed in line with internal procedures, policies and regulatory expectations.

Participate in the implementation and maintenance of IAM local policies, procedures and guidelines, working together with internal teams to ensure that requirements are understood and consistently applied.

Contribute to IAM control execution and follow-up activities, including evidence collection, access review support, issue tracking and coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Provide advice and support to users and internal stakeholders on IAM-related topics, helping translate operational questions into clear guidance and escalating complex cases when needed.

Collaborate with different technology, risk and business teams to support IAM initiatives, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to a stronger access control environment.

• You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role related to Identity and Access Management, cyber security, access controls, operational compliance or technology risk management.
• You have a good understanding of IAM concepts such as user lifecycle management, access requests, access reviews, privileged access, authentication and segregation of duties.
• You are comfortable working with procedures, evidence, controls and operational documentation, and you are able to follow up on actions with rigor and attention to detail.
• You enjoy working with people: you communicate clearly, ask the right questions and collaborate naturally with stakeholders from different teams.
• You are analytical and organized, able to understand issues, identify root causes and help define practical remediation actions.
• You are willing to learn, open to change and motivated to grow your expertise in IAM, cyber security and control environments.
• You show ownership, good judgement and adaptability, especially when dealing with non-routine situations or topics requiring alignment across teams.
