Position summary:

 

The Product Owner will be the central point for analyzing andmanaging requests from internal business stakeholders, taking ownership for theagreed solution and manage the delivery process including development tasks,data and other inputs necessary to resolve problems, communicate businesssolutions and develop new processes.

 

A major part of the role will be to priorities product backlogfeatures and stories ensure the team understands the product backlog, owningthe product roadmap on behalf of business stakeholders and planning for sprintsin conjunction with the scrum master. Working with stakeholders and thedelivery team to identify needs, validate MVP, product scope and deepenknowledge of customer and user needs, motivations and behavior to influencedesigns that contribute to a rewarding customer experience.

The Product Owner makes decisions when there are ambiguities,unknowns and uncertainties. Therefore, the Product Owner needs to beconfident, and comfortable with experimentation and informed risk taking.

 

Main activities and responsibilities:

 

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Support the definition of small/medium project Business Cases (scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans, dependencies, resource requirements and milestones)
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Manage the relationship with team membership and all the stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues
  • Monitoring projects against time, budget and quality standards.
