Head of People Services

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Head of People Services to join our People Team.

Your key responsibilities:

As Head of People Services, you will:

• Drive strategy & transformation, defining and implementing the People Services strategy aligned with business priorities
• Shape labour relations strategy at country level, acting as senior advisor and anticipating labour risk, managing complex labour relations matters including negotiations, disputes, inspections and litigation.
• Ensure full compliance with labour and occupational risk prevention regulations and internal policies
• Enable business decisions, being a partner with HR business partners/leaders to translate labour context into business decisions
• Lead transformation towards a digital, data-driven and employee-centric model, identifying opportunities for automation, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Evolve the operating model to deliver efficiency and an outstanding employee experience, ensuring scalability and consistency across Spain and Portugal
• This role will build on the global strategy and that alignment with that strategy is crucial.
• He/she will also be part of the EMEA & Americas community to cross-country drive the global strategy together
• Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing and sustainable performance across the organisation
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across labour risk, wellbeing offer, labour relations, human capital management, payroll, benefits and compliance
• Balance employee experience, compliance and business sustainability
• Act as strategic advisor to ExCo and senior leaders

We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Head of People Services to lead the evolution of our people operations across Spain and Portugal. This is not just an operational role. It is a leadership position with direct impact on business performance, employee experience and risk management

• Extensive experience leading end-to-end operations, ideally but not as a must, leading or with experience in People Services functions, including payroll, benefits, employee lifecycle and HR operations
• Deep expertise in labour relations, collective bargaining and employee representation frameworks
• Strong understanding of local labour laws, regulatory requirements and compliance implications
• Proven track record in transforming HR operating models, moving from transactional to strategic and value-driven services
• Experience driving efficiency, standardisation and scalability, ensuring high-quality delivery in complex environments
• Strong ability to connect People Services with business outcomes, employee experience and organisational priorities
• Proven experience operating in a complex international environment, working across multiple countries, cultures and regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrated capability to navigate matrix organisations, balancing local business needs with global standards and governance
• Strong ability to lead cross-border initiatives and transformations, driving consistency while adapting to local realities
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across different levels and functions
• High level of executive presence, with the ability to operate in complex and sensitive environments
• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to simplify complex topics and drive alignment
• Fluent English (written and spoken) in an international environment
• Spanish as a very strong asset taking into consideration the involvement with local unions and other governmental bodies
