Minor Hotels Europe & Americas (formerly NH Hotel Group) is looking for a new Business Law & Real Estate Legal Trainee to join its Legal Department.
We are seeking a candidate who can provide legal support across different areas of law and assist the Legal Departments lawyers with their day-to-day responsibilities.
As a Legal Trainee, you will have the opportunity to participate in both domestic and international transactions related to the expansion and management of one of the worlds leading hotel companies, working alongside in-house counsel and external advisors on corporate, real estate, commercial, and contractual matters.
What will you do?
- Provide legal assistance and support to members of the Regional Office Legal Team on projects and day-to-day queries related to the companys hotel portfolio and internal departments.
- Review and draft NDAs, letters of intent, term sheets, binding offers, and other pre-contractual documentation.
- Support hotel expansion projects from a legal perspective, including hotel openings, acquisitions, divestments, and rebranding initiatives.
- Participate in the negotiation and review of hotel- agreements (Hotel Management Agreements, Hotel Franchise Agreements, Lease Agreements, Sale and Purchase Agreements, etc.).
- Provide legal support on hotel expansion projects, including openings, rebranding processes, acquisitions, and hotel asset disposals.
- Draft legal memorandums and reports on legal matters.
- Monitor signing and closing processes of transactions.
What are we looking for?
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in law firms (particularly in and Real Estate departments) and/or in in-house legal departments will be highly valued.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Law Degree from a reputable Spanish university.
- A Masters Degree in Legal Practice and/or a specialization in Commercial Law (completed or in progress) will be considered an asset.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- We are looking for a proactive, motivated individual with a strong willingness to learn. The ideal candidate enjoys teamwork, is interested in working on a broad range of legal matters, and demonstrates honesty, transparency, and strong communication skills.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, as both languages are used daily in the workplace.
- Experience working with legal databases and handling electronic interactions with public authorities and courts will also be considered an asset.
