Social Media & Communications Specialist

Descripción del empleo

At Indeep AI, we are an applied AI research laboratory working at the intersection of natural language processing, linguistics, and human cognition. Our work is grounded in a simple conviction: the tools we use to write and understand documents should make communication clearer and more trustworthy, not less. That research powers Typewiser, our document intelligence platform. Typewiser helps people produce and understand high-stakes documents with greater clarity and rigour, analysing how information is communicated, surfacing where meaning breaks down, and supporting the writer in real time. It is backed by European research funding and built on peer-reviewed scientific foundations. We are a small, multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and linguists. We are at the stage where the way we present ourselves to the world is still being built. That is where you come in.

We’re seeking a hands-on Social Media & Communications Specialist to join our team at Indeep Artificial Intelligence (IAI) at our office in Barcelona. Reporting to the Leadership team, you will own the day-to-day execution of our social media and digital communications: planning, building, running, and refining the campaigns and content that grow our audience and generate interest in Typewiser and IAI. This is an execution-focused role. Leadership sets the business objectives; you translate them into concrete plans and make them happen across channels. We are looking for someone who lives in the tools, is comfortable with analytics, and iterates quickly on what the data tells them.

It is critical to have a deep understanding of human communication principles, as these are fundamental to how our brand positions itself in the market. In this role, you will be the guardian of our voice, ensuring that every digital post is perfectly aligned with our designed communication strategy. We are looking for someone who not only excels at planning digital communication but who, above all, takes responsibility for maintaining a consistent tone of voice, while demonstrating the ability to interpret the signals behind social media analytics. We also need someone with a strong startup attitude: sharp problem-solving skills, the ability to manage priorities and deliverables autonomously without rigid timeframes, and the capacity to handle diverse task assignments. If you thrive in ambiguity, move fast without sacrificing quality, and can pivot when priorities shift, you’re exactly who we’re looking for. This role is for someone energised by wearing multiple hats and making an impact without needing a detailed playbook. If that sounds like you, we’d be excited to hear from you.

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Full Office-Based Work Modality: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 at WeWork Glòries Barcelona

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning & Campaign Setup

  • Translate the business objectives set by leadership into an actionable communications and social media plan, including content calendars and campaign schedules, with a primary focus on social media management (SMM).
  • Create, set up, and manage social media campaigns end-to-end across the relevant platforms.
  • Create social media posts directly, and coordinate the production of written content — sometimes writing it yourself, other times briefing and coordinating with other team members.
  • Coordinate with the Visual Content Designer, who produces the visual assets your campaigns and posts require.
  • Manage the written content of all posts to ensure they remain consistent with our market positioning and established brand voice.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track performance metrics across social media campaigns, the website, webinars, and other mixed communication channels.
  • Report performance to leadership clearly and regularly, surfacing what is working, what is not, and why.
  • Maintain clean, reliable analytics and reporting so that decisions are grounded in accurate data.

Optimization

  • Analyse campaign and channel performance to identify opportunities to improve lead capture, traffic, brand awareness, and engagement.
  • Recommend data-driven corrective actions to leadership for approval, and implement them once approved.
  • Continuously refine targeting, messaging, timing, and channel mix based on measured results.

Email, Newsletter & Internal Communications

  • Plan, write, and manage email campaigns and newsletters aligned with the broader communications plan.
  • Coordinate written content for these channels, producing it yourself where appropriate.
  • Contribute to internal communication initiatives, with the freedom to propose and lead initiatives of your own.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in social media management and digital communications execution.
  • Demonstrable experience running campaigns targeting B2B audiences in the tech, AI, or SaaS fields.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, setting up, and running social media campaigns end-to-end.
  • Proven expertise in analysing and interpreting numerical data, with hands-on experience in Google Analytics and social media analytics tools.
  • Proficiency with social media management and scheduling platforms (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advertising-style copywriting and textual communication, reflecting a grasp of target demographics.
  • Solid written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, on-brand social media copy.
  • C1-level proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment and understand the specific challenges of early-stage companies.

Preferred

  • Experience within insurance or research funding sectors.
  • Familiarity with email automation, AI-assisted workflows, and webinar platforms.
  • Experience with LinkedIn as a primary B2B channel, including LinkedIn campaign tooling.
  • Basic familiarity with SEO, GEO, and web analytics beyond social.
  • Working proficiency in other EU languages, in particular Spanish and Italian.

What We Offer

  • €30,000–€40,000 yearly gross salary depending on demonstrable experience and pipeline performance track record.
  • A high-impact comms role at the growth frontier of a quickly expanding AI company.
  • Direct influence on company go-to-market strategy, with visibility at the executive level.
  • Early-stage team member at a high-potential EIC-funded startup.

How to Apply

To apply, send your CV via LinkedIn with a few examples of social media campaigns or content you've created, ideally ones you owned end-to-end. Skip the cover letter; we'd rather see the work itself and how creative and tone-consistent it is. A line or two on your thinking behind each is welcome. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
