We are looking for an IT Area Lead and we offer apermanent and full time contract within the IT department. 

Position summary:

As a member of the Tribe, the Delivery Lead will beavailable for the Squads and will assist them in any of their differents taskssuch as Analyse, Design, Code, Test, Build, Release and Support.

As the day-by-day work is done following the Agilemethodology, the Delivery Lead should try to attend main Agile ceremonies :

  • Sprint planning meeting
  • Lessons learns 
  • Daily meeting 
  • Feature Planning 

 

He is also in charge of the recruitment of new membersfor the teams, and the overall Tribe ramp up plan. For this particular task,the Delivery Lead works very close to the Scrum Masters and with the ChaptersLeads. The goal is to find profiles that better match with the requirements ofthe Squads and the Tribe.

In collaboration with the Tribe’s Agile coach:

  • make sure the Way of Working and Organization is in place, but also is an actor to modify it when it is necessary.
  • optimize the Tribe performance, based on the capabilities of the Squad´s team members and the sprint planification.
  • Help Squads to deliver in Production a working software, mainly from a management point of view (For exemple by remove roadblocks that the teams are unable to remove themselves).
  • Help Squads to support Production, mainly from a management point of view.
  • Follow and push for the growth / wishes of resources
  • Organize the Chapters, run the Chapters, and make sure that each have a Chapter Lead recognized fomr its members.

 

He drives the IT part of the Tribe in the rightdirection in order to fulfil the business requirements with the best solutionavailable in terms of performance / time / effort / maintenance.

As part of the Tribe the objective of the DeliveryLead, is:

  • Help Squads to deliver in Production a working software, mainly from a management point of view (For exemple by remove roadblocks that the teams are unable to remove themselves).
  • Help Squads to support Production, mainly from a management point of view.
  • Follow and push for the growth / wishes of resources
  • Organize the Chapters, run the Chapters, and make sure that each have a Chapter Lead recognized fomr its members.

 

Major responsibility areas:

  • Stories / Task: Follow the progress of each Stories /Task to prevent in advance possible delays.
  • Coding: Be involved in the definition of the: Design rules, Quality rules, Security rules.
  • Test: Follow the progress of test tasks, follow the definition of the tests to be sure that cover a very high % of the functionality developed.
  • Product Owner relationship: Be available for Poduct Owner to discuss any people or backlog topic.
  • Management: Guarantee the fulfilment of the KPIs defined, ensure the use of established methodologies, guarantee the fulfilment of the milestones defined.

Decision making:

Responsibilities is shared among the Squad with ScrumPrinciples:

  • The Product Owner give the “What”
  • The rest of the team is in charge of the “How”


In the End the whole Squad is responsible of thedeliverable in Production.

TheDelivery Lead will work closely with Squads in that context of delegation, butwill define the frame of freedom for the Squads.


Knowledge and skill requirements

  • Good understanding on all Architecture Layers.
  • Past Technical experience.
  • Testing Automation context.
  • Good experience in Agile environment (SCRUM or Kanban or XP or SAFe)
  • Scope of responsibility 15 FTEs minimum
  • Scope of responsibility 40 FTEs 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to add value on all layers: specially at management layer, but always keep in mind the rest of the layers (human resource, technical, ...)
  • Retail Bank knowledge
