We are looking for an Operations Efficiency Internship to join our team to give support to the Continuous Improvement for Leather Consumption area. This position will report directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager for Leather Consumption. This role is crucial to re-evaluate and automate the analysis of returns, material consumption, and rework processes within our operations, aiming for increased efficiency and reduced waste.

You must be currently enrolled in studies that allow you to sign an internship agreement (convenio de beca) with your university

If you are from the UE you must have a student NIE. If you are from outside the UE, you need a working permit.

Our internships run for 6-12 months full time

Your role will be

  • Analyze current procedures for leather returns, material consumption, and reworks to identify inefficiencies.
  • Propose and implement automation solutions for verification and process flows.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, and Warehouse teams to streamline operations.
  • Eliminate non-value-added tasks to enhance overall efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Contribute to the development of a more efficient returns and rework management system.

About you

  • Currently enrolled or a recent graduate in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in Excel; familiarity with process mapping tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and pay close attention to detail.
