Junior Marketing Analyst (Barcelona)

Job Overview

Preply is building a talented Data Team to empower top‑notch decision‑making across the organization. The role is embedded in cross‑functional teams, collaborating with MarTech Product Manager, Marketeers, Tech Leads, and the Data Strategy team.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and analysis of A/B tests across Organic and Paid Marketing.
• Calculate MDEs, power analyses, and interpret experiment results.
• Help automate statistical frameworks for CRM experimentation.
• Pull and reconcile data from marketing networks (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.).
• Compare external network reporting with internal performance data.
• Investigate discrepancies in tracking, attribution, and conversion reporting.
• Support channel managers in understanding performance drivers and measurement gaps.
• Write SQL queries to extract and structure complex marketing datasets.
• Dive deep into marketing data sources to identify growth opportunities.
• Support ad hoc analysis and adjust Looker dashboards to improve reporting clarity.

Required Qualifications

• Strong quantitative background (STEM degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar).
• Solid SQL skills; Python is a plus.
• Good understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, power analysis, MDE).
• Curiosity about marketing and growth.
• Comfort working with messy, real‑world data.
• Structured problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to performance marketing or digital business environments.
• Experience with BI tools (Looker).
• Familiarity with attribution platforms (e.g., Adjust).
• Basic understanding of experimentation and causal inference concepts.
