Accounts Receivable Specialist (Temporary Contract)

Barcelona – Diagonal Mar

Salary: €31,500 gross/year

Temporary contract: 4+ months

A multinational insurance company with a strong international presence is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Finance team in Barcelona (Diagonal Mar).

You will become part of a dynamic and collaborative international environment, supporting the Finance Operations team and working closely with different departments and external partners.

What you’ll do

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate cash management and supporting month-end processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and issuing statements and bordereaux to brokers, clients, and coinsurers
• Monitoring bank movements and performing related administrative tasks
• Preparing and reporting technical payments (claims, coinsurance, broker commissions)
• Booking and allocating technical cash movements in the system
• Managing cash receipts and payments allocation
• Maintaining accurate accounting documentation and records
• Performing credit control and follow-up of outstanding balances
• Supporting the monthly closing process
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyzing month-end balances and making General Ledger adjustments
• Preparing documentation for internal and external audits
• Managing internal and external correspondence (brokers, clients, and other departments)

✅ What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role
• Fluent English and Spanish (both required)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
