Job Description

  • Title: Business Development and Sales Assistant (Internship, Spain based)
  • Reporting to: Director & Co-founder
  • Job Location: Spain (remote)
  • Start date: June 2018
  • Hours: 10-12 hours per week
  • Commitment Length: 3 to 6 months
  • Remuneration: Unpaid
  • Closing date for applications: May 2018

The Role

  • Infinitum Academy believes that the formation of strategic, win-win partnerships are critical to its aim of removing educational inequality from the face of the earth. Our Business Development Intern will work closely with the rest of the team in Spain to develop those relationships, and establish new partnerships to support our growth.

Responsibilities

The successful intern will be responsible for expanding the business in current markets as well as developing it in new markets alongside a highly entrepreneurial and international team. The key duties include:

  • Assistance in managing and servicing existing clients.
  • Assisting Sales Managers in preparation of documents, proposals and drafting business plans.
  • Assistance in following up on sales leads and maintaining relationships.
  • Assistance in in pre and post sales activities.
  • Handling of sales phone calls and emails.
  • Compiling clients' information and report.

By the end of the program, the successful candidate will have:

  • Participated in various networking events.
  • Been given responsibility for hosting events.
  • Learned to collaborate with team members in order to refine and scale our sales process using Inbound Methodology.
  • Assisted in coordination of lead conversion processes.
  • Reflected and drawn their own conclusions on how to identify trends and typical behaviours of leads.
  • Learned how to nurture relationships with already existing leads.
  • Gained experience in customer service.
  • Learned how to identify potential leads and set criteria for their targeted search.
  • Discovered new ways of attracting leads.

Note: We provide the product, sales and CRM training during an intensive yet motivating on-boarding period. All travel expenses in order to meet clients will be reimbursed.

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail with an ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Exceptional influencing skills with the ability to be credible and persuasive at all levels internally and externally, passion about startups & entrepreneurship.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills – ability to discover a business or donor's interests, build rapport and trust.
