Short-Form Video Editor & Script Planner (Golf Content)

Remote / Hybrid (Spain Preferred)

Full-Time - but part time may be considered

At Evana Designs, we create high-performing digital content and marketing campaigns for brands across multiple industries. One of our fastest-growing projects right now is That’s One Golf — a golf channel documenting the journey from a 24 handicap golfer to scratch in 365 days.

In just 6 months, the channel has grown to:

• Nearly 45,000 total followers/subscribers
• Over 10 million views
• Multiple viral videos across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram

We’re now looking for a short-form video editor with strong storytelling instincts to help us scale the channel further.

The Role

1. Plan highly engaging short-form videos before filming
2. Create structured shot lists and scripts
3. Then edit the footage once our team records it

You’ll essentially act as the bridge between:

• The idea
• The filming process
• The final edit

Your Responsibilities

• Turning raw video ideas into structured short-form content plans
• Writing scripts with:
• Dialogue/voiceover lines
• Camera angles
• Shot suggestions
• B-roll requirements
• Hook ideas
• Transition ideas
• Retention-focused pacing
• Creating easy-to-follow filming plans for our production team
• Editing the final videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Researching trends and adapting successful formats into golf content
• Helping structure ongoing storylines around the challenge

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Strong short-form editing skills
• Deep understanding of viral content structure and retention
• Ability to script engaging videos from scratch
• Understanding of hooks, pacing, and storytelling
• Ability to visualise shots before filming
• Experience creating content optimised for TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts

Highly Beneficial:

• Existing golf knowledge
• Understanding of golf culture/content
• Experience with challenge-style or documentary-style storytelling
• Experience editing sports or lifestyle content

Important

We are specifically looking for someone who understands:

• Why certain videos go viral
• How to create curiosity loops
• How to maximise retention
• How to structure a story in under 60 seconds
• How to plan content BEFORE filming starts
• This role is ideal for someone who loves the strategy and storytelling side of short-form content — not just cutting clips together.
