Angove Partners is partnering with a global insurance company, seeking an M&A Claims Associate in Madrid. The business is looking to expand its claims team with the hire of a Litigation Associate and looking to solidify its position as a market leader globally.

What is the role?

This role has a focus on M&A insurance claims focus. The team specialises in Warranties & Indemnities and Tax Liability insurance.

What will you be doing?

• Autonomously administer and negotiate claims.
• Review and respond to incoming enquiries from clients and brokers.
• Review and prepare notifications, manage the claims process, consider coverage and deal with settlements.
• Negotiate with markets to achieve the best outcome.
• Create comprehensive and accurate documents detailing claim facts and coverage issues.
• Develop strong relationships with markets.
• Advise on policy wording improvements based on insurance law and claims experience.

What do you need to apply to this role?

• PQE 3 - 8 years of experience in a law firm, preferable with experience in Insurance Recovery/M&A Litigation.
• Understanding of M&A legal documents (e.g. Sale Agreements, DD reports, data room documents).
• Entrepreneurial with good negotiation skills.
