Role overview
At DUAL, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Lines Underwriting Assistant to support our team in the operational and administrative management of our Financial Lines business. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a desire to grow professionally within the insurance sector.
You will work closely with senior underwriters and internal teams, assisting in the full lifecycle of issuance, document analysis, and client/broker support.
Role responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, reviewing, and organizing documentation required for risk evaluation and issuance.
- Manage requests for issuance, renewal, and cancellation, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Review questionnaire and wordings, coordinating with legal or technical teams when necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, certificate issuance, invoicing, and digital archiving.
- Support the preparation of portfolio monitoring reports and internal reporting.
- Handle basic inquiries from brokers and clients, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to improve processes and tools.
Key requirements
- Technical or university education in Business Administration, Law, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience in administrative or support roles within insurance companies, brokerages, or financial institutions, will be considered a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Financial Lines insurance products.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power BI) and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Good communication skills, customer-oriented mindset, and proactive attitude.
- Advanced level of English.
