The main priorities for the Global Advertising team are:

  • Support global Operating Businesses (OBs) to build and optimize Telefonicas presence of Brands, using innovative mobile products and channels

The Project Consultant role is central to supporting our team priorities and ensuring effective running and growth of the Advertising unit, hence reporting into the Head of Global Operations. This role provides for a mix of strategic, planning and commercial tasks.



  • Speak and meet with Global, Regional and Local (OB) Advertising team members to understand structure, function and current strategy and plan
  • Establish list of projects currently in scope that need attention and prioritize workload
  • Develop a deep understanding of our Product approach, as well as those across LUCA (Telefonica - data driven unit) and the partners that support it
  • Develop a deep understanding of our data capabilities and how we segment and target our audiences and progress on associated projects i.e Assessment of GDPR impact on product suite
  • Make recommendations and gain buy in on the best way forward on overall strategy, and as well as commercial and marketing strategy
  • Putting a plan in place to meet strategic goals, and supporting achievement of this plan i.e drawing commercial plan for products in certain sales channels
  • Align with Product Owners to define the necessary capabilities and features required to deliver against proposed strategy, and supporting activities to achieve goals
  • Share and collaborate with OBs on unit strategy and action plan
  • Conduct a market analysis of business players (telco and other) to support pitch deck
  • Conduct market analysis of product suite in focus countries
  • Ad hoc support for business planning and modelling
  • Direct the creation of the Global pitch deck for Telefonicas Advertising business - ensuring alignment across LUCA
  • Scope and close partnership opportunities to support product growth
  • Identify the opportunities for accelerated growth as well as key barriers and formulated a plan for the next 90 days - including headcount needs, new capabilities and marketing needs

  • 3-5 years Strategy Consulting
  • Global Project Management
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Interest in Digital Media/Advertising industry
