Functional Analyst – Payments & Cloud Platform

At ASTEK Iberia, we are looking for a Product Definition Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a leading company in the travel technology sector in a hybrid model based in Madrid. You will join an Agile Release Train focused on building a cloud-native issuing platform for virtual credit cards used by travel agencies to pay their providers.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, contributing to the evolution of a strategic open payment platform based on modern cloud architecture.

Main responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements and define optimal functional solutions
• Contribute to the global open platform definition
• Produce feasibility studies, solution overview documents, interface control documents and product specifications
• Design APIs and functional flows (including error management and interface mapping)
• Ensure compatibility with other applications
• Work closely with Product Management, Project Management and Development teams
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies within an Agile environment.

Technology Environment

• Private & Public Cloud (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Quarkus)
• Microservices architecture (S-Kube framework)
• Event-Driven & Service-Oriented Architecture
• Kafka streaming
• REST/JSON APIs over HTTPS
• Full CI/CD stack (Jenkins, Helm, etc.)

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Travel IT and/or Payment industry is a plus
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• UML modelling capability
• REST/JSON API design (SOAP XML knowledge is a plus)
• Experience writing detailed functional specifications
• Fluent English
• Experience in Agile (Scrum; SAFe is a plus)
• Customer-focused mindset
• T-shaped profile is a plus
• Python scripting is a bonus
