About the Team
The Presales Operations team is part of the new Customer Engineering Unit after a transformation process of the Presales Area. It will play a key role in the unit as they will be taking on the challenge of creating an agile, efficient and digital environment for all offers that land inside the Unit. Huge part of the success of every opportunity presented will rely on this team and their capability of transforming and evolving the existing tools, processes and connections with stakeholders inside and outside of the company
Your Role
The GSE in Presales Operations team has the goal to maximize efficiency during the generation of an offer thru digitalization and agility in both process and systems.
Responsibilities
• Transform existing processes during the generation of an offer to achieve homogeneity & efficiency.
• Work on the digitalization of the supporting tools during the bid management process.
• Work on the development of effective connections with the stakeholders involved to build a solution to meet customer requirements
• Support and participate in the presale process to generate an offer
• Design and Document specific solutions
• Work on responses to RFIs and RFPs
• Maintain a high level of understanding of current products and services as well as planned enhancement through formal and informal training
• Take initiative to learn in-depth the technologies, solutions, and products-internals
• Interact with external and internal partners of the organization to generate an offer (DDO, Competence Center, Legal, Finance, Product Marketing, Operations, Sales, Sales teams and presales teams in the OBs ( TO2UK, TdEspaña, TO2Germany, TO2 CZ Rep., TDigital, TUSA, T.Brazil, T.Argentina, etc…)
• Transversal coordination of multi-country, multi-company and multidisciplinary teams to build up the corresponding offers under his supervision.
• Manage all costing activities including submission to internal systems and negotiation with vendors or in-country Telefonica units.
Key Skills and Experiences Required
Essential
• Consultant / Pre-Sales experience required ( between 4-6 )
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills
• Strong knowledge and exposure to at least one of the following areas of specialization: IP and MPLS, VPN's, QoS, and emerging technologies in the IP, MPLS and network-convergence technologies, SIP and Voice/IP Solutions
• Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, platform-internals, performance criteria and applications
• Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings
• Broad technical knowledge of Telefonica’s products and services
• Quick-study for new technologies/products
• Ability to work effectively
• IoT/Cloud/Security/Bid Data knowledge is a plus
Desired
• Experience as Pre-sales engineer for a Telecommunications company
Qualifications
Typically requires at least BS/CS in EE/CS or equivalent.
