EVENT ASSOCIATE - HOSPITALITY AREA
Are you passionate about the sports industry — and in particular, the world of tennis?
At Tennium, we are looking for an experienced Event Specialist focus on Hospitality to work in the preparation and execution of the different events that Tennium owns or manages across the world. This role offers the opportunity to play an active part in the company’s growth, leading and supporting projects in the Events area. We are looking for an all-round profile, a person that is an excellent communicator and great relationship builder, and at the same time detail orientated and understands the importance of following processes and documenting projects to later put theory into practice during the events itself. If you have a proactive, extremely organized, analytical profile and are eager to contribute to a global sports platform, this could be an excellent opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Pre-event:
- Support in the definition of the VIP experience, elaborating the concept paper of what the Hospitality will be:
- Look & feel
- Offer conceptualization (packages, services, VIP brochure…)
- Benchmarking of VIP areas of other tournaments or events.
- Create written proposals (power point) and presentations.
- Source and work with vendors and suppliers (furniture, catering…).
- Coordinate graphic material production: brochure, client manual, …
During the event:
- Help coordinating technical and production aspects.
- Participate in the full setup process from scratch to completion, including dismantling
- Manage tournament VIP restaurant reservations.
- Contact with the different suppliers of the restaurant for any incident (catering, furniture, decoration…).
- Strong relationship management.
Post-event:
- Track, analyze and report back the event results.
- Set up reports about learning and possible improvements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-5 years of experience working in the sports and events business
- Exceptional knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Excellent verbal and written Spanish and English required
- Excellent planning, time management, organization and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive, positive and full of energy
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with clients and suppliers
- Flexible to accommodate urgent requests and to work even at irregular hours including possible overtime and weekends as per event requirements
- Outstanding attention to detail and proven problem-solving ability
- Able to manage stress and operate under intense event environments and requirements
- Good team player but also able to work independently on specific workstreams
- Tenacity to execute repetitive tasks with a passion to deliver faultless documents.
