About the Role


We are looking for a proactive and versatile Site Technician (m/f/d) to support the daily operations of our data center in Madrid. This hands-on role is essential for ensuring uptime, supporting customer deployments, managing both physical infrastructure and connectivity operations, and maintaining smooth and secure facility performance.

The ideal candidate will have a background in critical environments, strong technical knowledge across mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent service.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on critical systems, including power, cooling, and BMS.
  • Monitor building management systems (BMS), identify anomalies or alarms, and take corrective actions.
  • Support customer installations, cross-connects, remote hands activities, and troubleshooting requests.
  • Ensure proper cable management, accurate labelling, and clear documentation of all customer-related activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors for repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Request quotes and budgets for required work, and verify vendor completion reports.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of site activities, customer interventions, and incidents.
  • Respond to urgent alarms and technical issues, both remotely and on-site, as part of an on-call rotation (one week at a time).
  • Ensure strict adherence to operational, health & safety, and security procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Center Lead and operations team to deliver seamless service.


What We’re Looking For


  • Background in data centers or other critical environments such as maritime, offshore, oil & gas, or large-scale facilities.
  • Technical knowledge across both mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of IT networks, cabling standards, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in English or Spanish is required; knowledge of both languages is a strong advantage.
  • Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
