Ventós Group is an international company specialized in the distribution and production of Essential Oils & Aroma Chemicals with the Head Quarters located in Barcelona, Spain. The group has 9 subsidiaries around the world.

Currently we need to reinforce our Biotech team by incorporating an R&D Scientist.

Responsabilites:

• Develop and optimize biocatalytic reactions for the synthesis of high-added-value compounds.
• Lead and support fermentation processes, including enzyme production and microbial synthesis of target compounds.
• Participate in scaling up bioenzymatic procedures from lab to production plant.
• Design, plan, and execute experimental tasks and interpret results with scientific rigor.
• Contribute to the identification of new R&D opportunities and the writing of R&D&I project proposals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production and quality departments to ensure successful process implementation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Chemical Engineering
• Proven experience in:
• Development and optimization of biocatalytic processes
• Fermentation techniques, both for enzyme and compound production
• Scale-up of enzymatic procedures to pilot or industrial scale
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work methodically and independently
• Previous experience in project proposal writing is a plus
• Personal Skills: Autonomous and well-organized, strong scientific rigor with a results-oriented mindset, proactive, with excellent communication skills and team spirit
