Who we are:
Corpag is a dynamic and international boutique trust and corporate services provider. Our goal is to remain relatively small-scaled, so that we can continue to distinguish ourselves with the personal services we offer to our clients.
Though legislation varies in different countries, Corpag’s ethical code is strict and equal worldwide. We are very happy to help companies and private individuals that are, just like us, entrepreneurial, transparent and earn their money in a sustainable and responsible manner. We are here to optimize their business and be part of their success.
At Corpag we put high emphasis on our ESG policy, by always focusing on people and the environment, in anything we do. This drives us making clear and transparent choices on the industries and clients we want to work with. As we have been a successful and healthy company for over 50 years and as making money is not our main goal, we are in a privileged position of being selective in which type of client we want to work with.
How we see you:
We are currently looking for a talented, motivated, and proactive Junior Accountant with 1–2 years of relevant experience, who is seeking a challenging opportunity for career development. Based in our Madrid office, you will be responsible, under the supervision of a Finance Manager, for managing a portfolio of client companies, ensuring they meet all accounting, and tax obligations in coordination with our internal teams.
You will work closely with senior management, accountants, compliance officers, and other professionals across our global offices, as well as with external advisors. Your responsibilities will include bookkeeping, tax filings, and ensuring that all financial documentation is complete and accurate.
Your key tasks and responsibilities are:
· Management of the accounting for various companies (bookkeping, reconciliation, and review of general and analytical accounting).
· Reconciliation, analysis, and justification of accounting balances.
· Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports (closing entries, calculation of accruals, etc.).
· Preparation and monitoring of payments.
· SII tax declarations (Immediate Supply of Information).
· Preparation of periodic tax filings (VAT, Withholding tax, form 349, etc.).
· Calculation and filing of corporate tax returns (forms 200, 231, 232).
· Preparation and submission of the annual accounts.
What you should (ideally) bring:
Ideally, you bring the following experience and interests with you:
· University / master’s degree in accounting and taxation.
· 1–2 years relevant working experience in a comparable position within the international Corporate trust & legal services industry.
· Fluency in Spanish and English.
· Knowledge of Spanish regulatory frameworks - specifically Spanish tax and informative forms.
· Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external international stakeholders.
What we value:
At Corpag we attach great value to the competence of our employees. We expect you to be familiar with our shared priorities and that you are strongly working together with others. You are a specialist in your area of expertise. A constant focus on integrity is part of everything we do.
What we offer:
· The chance to be part of a steadily growing organization with the highest ESG and fiscal integrity standards in our industry.
· An organization with a true ‘one firm’-approach worldwide, ensuring an inclusive workspace with a diverse team of young, knowledgeable and high-achieving colleagues.
· Transparency and flexibility throughout the entire organization, thanks to a flat organizational structure with an always open door policy.
· Continuous training (tax, legal, AML and soft skills) will be part of the job and opportunities are there to develop further, in Spain or perhaps in one of Corpag's other international offices in due course under our internal Global Mobility Program.
· Of course competitive salary conditions and benefits, tailor-made for you, complemented by continuous attention for employee well-being.
Location: Madrid.
Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours per week.
