Job Title: System Designer (Robotic, Warehouse)
Location: Spain
We are partnering with a global leader in warehouse automation solutions that designs and implements cutting-edge, highly tailored material handling systems for clients worldwide. The company is known for delivering complex, high-performance solutions that drive operational efficiency in logistics and distribution environments.
The System Designer plays a critical role in shaping these systems by working closely with key clients to understand business needs, define system concepts, and develop high-quality technical and commercial proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and evaluate operational data provided by clients, including order volume, SKU diversity, and future scalability needs.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of transactional data to guide SKU placement, system sizing, and layout optimization.
- Partner with AutoCAD specialists and engineering teams to ensure system designs are technically sound and cost-effective.
- Create persuasive client-facing presentation materials that outline design rationale, system flow, and equipment selection.
- Oversee multiple proposal projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards and timely delivery throughout.
- Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to ensure system concepts align with client strategies and expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- 4–5 years of experience in solution design, technical sales, or a similar engineering role in warehouse or logistics environments.
- Strong understanding of both manual and automated warehouse operations and design principles.
- Proficiency in business data analysis using Excel and/or Oracle (PL/SQL knowledge preferred).
- Solid experience with material handling technologies and familiarity with warehouse management/control systems (WMS/WCS).
- Skilled in developing precise AutoCAD layouts for complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients.
