✍WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and talented person to join our team and perform the following tasks:

• Observe platform and merchant performance and detect any issues proactively to mitigate risks in partnership with Engineering teams.
• Be an expert in communicating with merchant’s real time during an incident and present the most accurate and updated information to keep them informed.
• Working together with Operations, Product, Engineering, and reliability teams to integrate, grow, and continuously improve our monitoring strategy and increase our reliability.
• Improve operations by leading/project managing initiatives and, or tools—development of automation for effective monitoring.
• Investigate alerts and provide feedback to engineering teams to build effective logging and alerts across the platform architecture.
• Mitigate merchant impact risk by actioning on alerts in partnership with Engineering teams, and contribute to the monitoring playbook by documenting your learnings.
• Focus on ruthlessly prioritizing, automating, and scaling every aspect of our detection capabilities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• At least 4 years in a similar role
• Fluent English
• Automation: automation is fundamental to DevOps, and in the context of observability, it involves automating testing, deployments, and monitoring tasks. Tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD are important.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): the ability to define and manage infrastructure through code, using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, enables greater consistency and automation.
• Containers and Orchestration: knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications in container environments.
• Development and Scripting: the ability to write scripts in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go is useful for automation and creating custom tools.

• Workplace: Madrid (Hybrid: 60% remote / 40% In-office)
• Work Schedule: Rotative shift 16x5 (Morning: 7:00-15:00 / Afternoon: 15:00-23:00) + oncalls
