PLC Programmer - FRANCE en Barcelona

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team on‑site in southern France for a key client in the aerospace sector. You will be responsible for developing, testing and commissioning PLC and HMI applications for industrial machinery, working closely with clients and our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and structure PLC programs and HMI screens: create function blocks, safety blocks and logical program architecture.
• Develop Grafcet programming diagrams and sequence controls.
• Simulate PLC code and HMI interfaces to validate functionality before commissioning.
• Prepare and deliver project documentation for clients during the development phase.
• Attend project meetings with clients to review progress and requirements.
• Perform on‑site commissioning and FAT/SAT (Factory/ Site Acceptance Tests) at client facilities (France).

Profile & Requirements:

Education:

• Degree in Industrial Electronics & Automation Engineering, Industrial Technologies Engineering, or similar.

Languages:

• Spanish: fluent (spoken & written).
• Technical English: essential.
• Other languages (French, German, Chinese): a plus.

Experience:

• 4–5 years in a similar PLC programming role.

Technical Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and capacity to structure complex programs.
• Programming Siemens PLCs and drives (Step7, WinCC, Scout, TIA Portal).
• Hands‑on experience with on‑site installations and commissioning.
• Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Solid understanding of machine concepts and start‑up procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience programming variable‑frequency drives, encoders and multi‑machine interfaces over various communication protocols.
