We are in search of a Precommisisoning Rotary Supervisor. The Precommisisoning Rotary Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the rotary team during the precommisisoning and commissioning phases. This role ensures that rotaryc equipments are installed according to project specifications, safety standards, and within the scheduled timeline and budget
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all commissioning activities related to piping or static equipment on assigned operating systems.
- Monitor construction activities to identify any discrepancies or mismatches with the final design for each subsystem, in order to report and prevent future problems due to these deviations.
- Manage and supervise subcontractor and/or supplier personnel performing commissioning activities on assigned systems.
- Schedule upgrades for the systems under their responsibility.
- Inform the superintendent of any technical issues that may arise on-site to avoid delays in work schedules.
- Coordinate daily activities with the subcontractor's supervisor/discipline foreman to achieve the daily or weekly plan/objectives.
- Report daily work progress to the superintendent and ensure the subcontractor correctly reports daily production. Point out discrepancies or provide necessary clarifications to the subcontractor, informing the superintendent.
- Control and report the labor assigned to each activity and ensure Ensure that the labor assigned to the project is used productively.
- Ensure that Work Permits for daily activities are issued, as well as the corresponding inspection requests.
- Before leaving the site each day, ensure that everything is ready to begin work first thing the next day without delays or interruptions due to lack of proper instructions, work permits, machinery, tools, materials, safe access to the work area, or for any other reason. Act immediately to resolve any incident that prevents the normal start-up of the work shift.
- Forecast the tool and equipment needs for start-up in advance.
- Verify the availability of materials to be used during start-up and ensure their cost-effective use, identifying appropriate materials handling, on-site storage, and preservation methods aimed at preventing damage or deterioration.
- Alert the Superintendent of material shortages, losses, or damage that require immediate action by the Procurement/Subcontracting department.
- As responsible for the start-up activities carried out in On-site, the supervisor will ensure that all personnel working in the area under their supervision do so in accordance with good HSE practices and established procedures.
- Attend contractors' HSE Toolbox safety briefings and meetings.
- Responsible for the implementation and compliance with company procedures and workplace programs under their responsibility, especially those related to HSE such as POP and LOTO.
- Full knowledge of company discipline tools, procedures, and their application for daily work control.
- Identify and report LLAA to the superintendent during project execution.
- Record, track, and close the corresponding Punch Listing under their responsibility during the handover phase.
- If applicable, review and approve work timesheets based on the exact hours required to perform the activity on-site. Provide detailed justification for the work performed and the personnel involved.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience in rotyary equipment in construction and Precom/Comm, including aligments,lube oil flushing, preservation, box-up, seal installation, etc.
- Availability to travel to the project in Belgium.
