IT Business Analyst – Digital Lab
We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support various projects in chemistry and microbiology labs across R&D and Manufacturing plants. This role focuses on aligning business needs with IT solutions, ensuring efficient and compliant lab operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related life science discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lab teams to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and validation of IT systems in labs (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CDS).
- Drive process improvements and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including GxP standards.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
Candidate Profile

Experience: Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in lab environments, preferably within R&D or Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with lab systems and workflows, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Availability: Open to external/contractual engagements with flexibility to work onsite or remotely as needed.
Specific Knowledge
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and instrument software.
- Strong understanding of industrial activities in life sciences and GxP procedures.
- Experience with Jira Software for demand and project management.
- Agile & Scrum certifications (preferred).
- Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus.
- Technical and functional expertise in the relevant business areas.
