We are seeking a skilled Originator& Trader to join our dynamic Energy Market Team and support our mission of powering the world with renewable energy.

In this role, you will lead the development of commercial relationships with traders, utilities, and large consumers, and will be actively involved in the negotiation and execution of hedging and energy sales strategies for the short, medium, and long term. The key responsibilities for this position will be the following:

✅ Commercial Development and Origination: Build and maintain a strong network of contacts with traders, brokers, utilities, and large energy consumers to identify opportunities for energy contracting (futures, PPAs)..

✅ Counterparty Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process of new trading counterparties: KYC checks, negotiation of master agreements (ISDA/EFET), review of credit terms, and coordination of risk limit approvals.

✅ Hedging and Trading Execution: Negotiate and execute power hedging strategies in the short and medium term (structured forwards or shaped hedges), in accordance with the risk policy in place

✅ PPA Negotiation and Structuring: Lead or support the origination, structuring, and negotiation of long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for operational and development-stage assets (WIND, SOLAR, and PV+BESS).

✅ Contract and Settlement Management: Supervise and coordinate the settlements of ongoing PPAs, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and accurate revenue reconciliation.

✅Market Intelligence: Conduct electricity, gas, CO₂, and commodity market analysis to provide internal forward-looking price views and strategic market insights.

✅ Participation in Organized Markets: Medium-term opportunity to act as a trader in organized futures markets (EEX).

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, economics or engineering. Knowledge in Data Management, Energy Markets, Trading will be a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related position.
• Intermediate to Advanced English language proficiency (B2-C1), Advanced Spanish language proficiency (C1-C2), both written and verbal.
• Commercial skills with capacity of interact with C-level stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation capacity.
• Precise, strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, target-oriented and organizational/methodical skills.
• Great interest in the renewable energy sector and knowledge is a plus.
