A Spanish Do - Weddings in Barcelona
Becario/a en Organización de Bodas y Eventos. IMMEDIATE START. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised candidate for a 3 month internship in a dynamic and fast growing wedding planning company. A Spanish Do plans destination weddings for foreign couples who want to get married in the Catalonia region. Our clients come from all over the world (northern Europe, USA, UAE, Asia, Australia) and we mainly speak to them in English. If the internship goes well there is a strong possibility of a permanent position in the company.

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the job of wedding planning. A brief summary of the responsibilities:
- Regular contact with clients, mainly by email but also by phone and
in person (almost always in English) - Booking and coordinating with suppliers (almost always in Spanish)
- Administrative tasks, such as management of email inbox, overseeing
of client and supplier contracts, keeping client checklists and records up
to date, preparation of all necessary documents for wedding day. - Attendance at all wedding events - helping head planner to
coordinate suppliers, guests, and bride and groom on the wedding day - Assisting with client visit trips (venue visits, tastings, supplier
meetings)
The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about a career in weddings and events, and be
interested in continuing in our company after the internship - Have a good understanding of what the job entails (the wedding day
itself is very exciting, but there is a lot of administrative work
involved in the day to day planning) - Be flexible, independent and highly self motivated
- Have excellent presence and people skills
- Have full availability during the three month internship. The
duration will be 40 hours per week but the schedule will be flexible
depending on events.
Requirements
- Fluency and excellent writing skills in both English and Spanish
(native/C1+). We don't require a certificate of English level but there
will be a brief pre-interview call in English with one of the directors,
who are both native English speakers. Additional languages are a big plus. - Full drivers licence
- Own vehicle is not essential but is a plus
