At ING we are looking for a PEGA Technical Lead

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer Lead to join our IT team of Home and Protection Tribe

The responsibility of this team is to manage the development and ensure the IT Strategy within the tribe.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer Lead you will:

• Lead a squad of up to 10 Software Engineers
• Lead the craftmanship of the squad.
• Participate in the “HOW” of the initiatives of the squad, defining planification, IT Team organization
• Collaborate closely with another Tech leads within the tribe.
• Be part of the IT strategy.
• Software developments in PEGA
• Analysis and high-level architectural definition to share with architecture team
• Mentor Software Engineers.
• Identify synergies with other squads.
• As an engineer background:
  • Define with the chapter lead the Engineering Agreements which could ensure the Time to Market, and the Product quality required in the bank as a part of the DoD.
  • Contribute to the management of the incidents in production.
  • Identify best Way of Working for having the adequate performance in the tribe.
  • Define the and identify the IT GAPS in each team/product/project for improving the IT Quality Gates to provide the best solution to our clients.
  • Improve our engineering practices, prioritize quality over quantity.
• Co-create the best IT climate in the tribe.
• Be part in the IT organization in the tribe.

Essential:

• PEGA
• Certified Pega Lead System Architect
• Engineering’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Passion in IT
• Strong analytical skills
• Communication skills
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to work autonomous way.
• Proactivity is a must; we are expecting a LEADER.
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge in Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of engineering practices, coding standard, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing …
• Solid understanding of software architecture, frontend and backend technologies, and distributed systems.

Desirable:

• Security: Mutual TLS, Access token
• Sidecar Pattern
• Elastic Search, LogStash, Kibana
• Grafana
• Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Selenium test framework
