ComTranslations.TV is looking for an English native or Latin American Spanish Intern to support its growing subtitling department across a wide range of film, television, and entertainment projects.

Qualified candidates will be seniors or graduate students in subtitling/language related programs/degrees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Subtitling, simulation, spotting, transcribing, correlate, video adaptation, burn in
  2. Perform subtitling quality assurance
  3. Translating, editing and proofreading of text translations and dubbing scripts
  4. Perform linguistic quality assurance
  5. Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team under constant time pressure
  6. Terminology Management/glossary management
  7. Administration support to project manager and team members

Requirements:

  1. Native in English or native Latin American Spanish and fluent in at least another language: (Spanish or English), German, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, Danish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese
  2. Excellent prioritization skills and attention to detail is a must
  3. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize work
  4. Subtitling or translation studies
  5. Subtitling software experience
  6. Eligible to work in Madrid

Desired skills:

Degree in subtitling/translation

Fluent in other European languages

Familiarity with translation tools

Location: Madrid, Spain

Start date: Immediate (6 month duration). Option of permanent after intern.

Our internships are full-time, from 09.30 to 18.30 Monday to Friday
