About the Client:

Low-code Application Development is a fast growing area of Digital Transformation and a key tool in the Intelligent Automation (IA) technology stack. Ciklum is looking for a Senior Appian Developer to join our team on a permanent basis to work with our Go-To-Market Team to deliver automation solutions to clients across the globe.

The job will encompass responsibilities including the development of IA solutions using Appian software, leading small teams on the delivery of projects and supervising/mentoring junior engineers.

• Play a leading role in a delivery team with implementation and integration of automation solutions based on design specifications
• Preparation of technical design specifications based on functional & non-functional business requirements 
• Code review of functional modules developed by peers
• Supervise & mentor junior colleagues 
• Working successfully on client projects while operating with evolving requirements in an agile manner
• Enhancing your job knowledge by ensuring that you stay updated on the latest updates to Intelligent Automation software, attending educational workshops & training as and when required
• Adherence to documented best practices
• Contribution to team training and professional development efforts

• Certified Appian Senior or Lead developer
• 3+ years experience developing Appian solutions, including knowledge of Appian architecture and development best practices, building complex processes, implementing integrations using web services, hands-on Appian SAIL development, familiarity with Appian plugins
• Advanced knowledge of string operations, familiarity in using regular expressions (regex)
• Workflow design skills – decision diamonds, decision trees, decision tables, state machines; familiarity with UML diagrams, understanding of BPMN notations
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, understanding relational database structures; experience developing with SQL Server, Oracle or other RDBMS
• Familiarity with integrations using SOAP and REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of debugging methods

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Computing, or other Information Technology related field
• Background in any programming language preferable e.g. Java, .NET, Python
• Firm knowledge of software engineering principles: separation of concerns, modularity, abstraction, incremental development, etc
• Understanding of automation components and features in RPA products preferable
