At ING we are looking for an ESG Expert (COO)

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic ESG Expert to join our Operational Management Team within the COO Domain.

The responsibility of this team is to lead the short, medium, and long-term development and evolution of the COO domain with the purpose of establishing a fit-for-future and data-driven COO organisation, operating with a scalable cost base.

Your key responsibilities:

As a COO ESG Expert you will:

·     Ensure optimal ESG governance and orchestrate the delivery of the ESG strategy within the COO domain, to deliver transformational change

·     Initiate & coordinate ESG discussions and ensure that the COO is appropriately represented across Business Lines, Tribes or CoEs, Functions and/or Borders

·     Develop strategic documents, run analysis, interpret data & documents

·     Provide advice to senior management to enable strategic / tactical / decision making and execution

·     Oversee and improve ESG reporting standards at bank level, through structured governance, efficient processes, and qualitative reports & data

·     Generate visibility and engagement around ESG within the COO Domain

·     Work experience of at least 5 years in ESG or related field

·     Master’s degree (preferably in a Sustainability related field) with a genuine interest in societal issues is a plus

·     Strong programme or project management experience

·     Strong stakeholder management skills

·     Problem solving mindset and results-driven

·     Good communication and interpersonal skills

·     Able to work in an autonomous way, to take initiative and to make things happen with a can-do attitude

·     Ability to work in an international environment

·     High ambition/energy level

·     Fluency in business English is required
