We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Big Data Platform IT Chapter Lead to join our IT PaaS team.

To achieve that mission, we are currently looking for a Big Data Platform IT Chapter Lead that would be part of an international project, collaborative between different countries, developing in a private cloud and DevOps environment.

 

We work in an Agile environment where the Scrum framework and Kanban are integral to our One Agile Way of Working. You would be part of a squad, working on two-week sprints, using Azure DevOps as a tool for our Software Development Life Cycle and keeping our IT risk under control.

 

As a Big Data Platform IT Chapter Lead you will be responsible for leading a team (6 to 10 members) of professionals in the design, development, and operation of a big data platform that supports the organization's data analytics needs, as well as implementing AIOps technologies to enhance operational efficiency and intelligence. You will also oversee the daily operations of a team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure that they have the necessary tools, skills, and knowledge to perform their duties effectively

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

As an IT Chapter Lead you will:

 

  • Lead your chapter’s craftsmanship by driving discussions, deploying best practices, and fostering knowledge sharing. Ensure a safe, open, experimental, continuous learning culture.
  • Set the standards at the chapter level for developing, innovating, and safeguarding knowledge in your field of expertise.
  • Oversee the daily operations of your chapter, including workload management, resource allocation, and performance management, ensuring technical dependencies with the organization are correctly managed.
  • Ensure that the big data platform is scalable, reliable, and secure, by implementing best practices in infrastructure design and maintenance.
  • Investigate and implement AIOps technologies, such as machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics, to improve operational efficiency and intelligence.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies (Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Protection) and procedures related to big data management, analytics, and AIOps.
  • Support senior management in aligning roadmaps and making decisions on complex IT innovations and issues.
  • Promote the transformation of ING Spain’s local Big Data Platform into a global offering.
  • Close follow-up of risk, compliance and audit issues linked to related assets.

 

What are we looking for?

  • A strong technical background and experience with big data platforms and related technologies, such as CDP, Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • More than 5 years’ experience with ETL technologies, such as Apache NiFi, Airflow, or Talend, to automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Experience with AIOps technologies, such as machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics, and their implementation in big data platforms.
  • Experience in data analysis and manipulation tools such as R, Matlab, Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based big data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, is a plus.
  • More than 2 years of Agile working experience.
  • Clear communications skills as well as a high English level (written and oral), is a team player (daily connection with other departments is to be expected) and can work on an international level.
  • Demonstrable management skills and/or experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals.
  • Strong soft skills and able to champion our Orange Behavior, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountable, eager to learn and is not afraid of change by taking initiative improving processes and ensuring creative ideas are implemented.
