The Customer Interactions Tribe is focused on Customers by being extremely personal and relevant by turning data into insights and actions to maximize value for customers & the bank.

 

In order to achieve that mission, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer that would be part of Advanced Analytics team working on different products of advanced analytics developing in a Cloud & DevOps environment. 

 

Within Advanced Analytic team you would be focused on creating and industrialization of products of advanced analytics as predictive models that help making decision in business processes becoming ING in a most Data Driven company.

 

We work in an Agile & DevOps environment, where Scrum & Kanban are part of our One Agile Way of Working. You would be part of a Scrum Team, working on two-weeks sprints and using Azure as a key-tool for our Software Development Life Cycle and keeping our IT Risk under control. 

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

As a Data Engineer, your main goal would be to ensure the SDLC, its quality and the data populated using it, are aligned with our procedures, standards and the functional requirements and documents related to them. Therefore, there would be some key responsibilities to make this happen: 

 

  • Lead teams from a technical perspective within Hadoop ecosystem
  • Ensure best practices within technical design, development of Machine Learning models and in the architecture based on microservices.
  • Monitor end-to-end processes, ensuring their operation, detection of technical issues and search for solutions based on Data.
  • Care of platforms sustainability, within Minimum Standards from IT and Risk perspective.
  • Guarantee that advanced analytic products delivered and promoted through Azure pipelines and Data pipelines solutions are aligned with our best practices.

 

What are we looking for?

A person flexible and adaptable, capable of facing uncertainty, acquiring knowledge in various disciplines and updating it as often as necessary. Knows the difference between important and less important details.

An assertive person, able to communicate clearly and directly, but adequately.

The Data Engineer we are currently looking for is someone who: 

 

  • Has more than 4 years’ experience within Hadoop Ecosystem.
  • Has knowledge & experience building Data Pipelines based on Python in the different development phases of machine learning models.
  • Has knowledge & experience applying development best practices in testing (unit testing, code quality, integration testing, …)
  • Has technical knowledge in both SQL and NoSQL Databases.
  • Has knowledge & experience in DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, …)
  • Has working experience in Agile environments. 
  • Has clear communications skills as well as a high English level (written and oral). 
  • Is able to work without instructions and to take initiative. 
  • Makes things happen thanks to his/her ‘can do’ attitude. 
  • Has a problem solving mindset. 
  • Is a team player (daily connection with other departments is expected) 
  • Has the ability to work on an international level. 
  • Takes the initiative for improving processes, ensuring creative ideas are implemented. 
  • Is a leader of our Orange Code culture, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountable, eager to learn and is not afraid of change. 

 

 

Considering the software you may use as a Data Engineer, specific experience would be desirable for the following: 

 

  • Cloudera Data Platform.
  • Python data analysis libraries (Pandas, PySpark, SQL, …)
  • Hive
  • Oracle
  • Azure DevOps
  • Docker / Kubernetes
