We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic (Expert in Payment Clearing and Settlement) to join our (Payments Delivery Area) Team of (Core Banking and Clients Tribe Spain)

The responsibility of this team is to provide the best solution for Payments considering customer needs, market behaviors, regulations and user requirements, delivering high quality developments based on Agile Methodology. Your key responsibilities:

As an Expert in Payment Clearing and Settlement you will:

As a key member of a squad, you will provide a broad knowledge on ING products, services, channels, and local Payments Regulations.

You are part of the delivery team to define functional requirements, participation in testing and support before the Go-live.

You control the process of the Clearing systems, solve the incidents in case of errors, provide the information and help to the support teams or the providers.

You identify the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs, use personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations. You represent the voice of the customer (External and internal) improving the processes.

You analyze data to extract operational information for decision taken, create reports for Operations areas (MicroStrategy, Excel, Power Point, etc..). Analysis of evolutions, trends and volumes seeking improvements that increase customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.

You collaborate / day-to-day teamwork with suppliers. Detect incidents in the processes of external providers, report incidents and track them. Track processes with suppliers, propose improvement measures and measurements that establish the effectiveness of the actions implemented.

You are responsible for improving the service with an end-to-end mindset, for the day-to-day performance, for building reliable business operations and services, and for connecting it with internal or external parties.

You work with Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders, to make sure our products and services comply with regulation and policies.

Banking operations and regulations: Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, payment systems, and clearinghouses.

Payment processing: Understanding of the end-to-end payment processing cycle, including authorization, clearing, and settlement. Have proven experience in Operations, specially within the payments including value proposition design, performance monitoring and profitability improvement.

Risk management: Knowledge of risk management practices, fraud detection, and risk mitigation strategies.

Technical skills: Familiarity with payment technologies, such as electronic funds transfer (EFT), real-time gross settlement (RTGS), and Automated Clearing House (ACH) systems.

Data analysis: Ability to analyze payment data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.

Project management: Skills in managing projects related to payment clearing and settlement, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

Communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including banks, merchants, and regulators.

Financial acumen: Strong understanding of financial transactions, accounting principles, and financial analysis.

Own a master or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Be able to tell the story and communicate clearly (written and oral) to various international stakeholders (advanced English is required)

Be able to think in strategic terms, linking current events, business strategy and a long-term vision.

Be able to lead complex programs, setting clear roadmaps and solving impediments.

Are creative and a pro-active out-of-the box thinker who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team in an agile environment.
