Your role and work environment:

 

The purpose of WPS & IS Tribe is ensuring ING is the bank of the future enabling safe and secure services to simplify end users delightful experience in the journey to that objective.

 

The WPS & IS Tribe is responsible for providing the best end user experience and internal areas digitalization support. You will be responsible to provide a great and secure Workplace environment and the best Internal Services helping the organization to improve the end user and internal areas productivity.

 

Collaboration is key, both with other departments, Agile/scrum is the way of working, you continuously improve, learn and stimulate each other’s professional development.

 

By combining our strengths across different departments, you bring the most added value for the bank.

Your key responsibilities as WPS&IA Platform-Foundations Chapter Lead:

As Chapter Lead you:  Lead a chapter of 5-10 Engineers

  • Bring an experienced technical Engineer background
    • Design, develop/integrate, test and deploy the solutions that meet the requirements of functionality, quality and performance of the internal/external customer.
    • Deliver in Production working solutions (on-premise, cloud, SaaS…) by giving the best use to technology and integration practices
    • Support in Production by analysis and fixing any issues that occurs.
    • Contribute to improve the technical discipline by cross-collaborating with other technical chapters and Expert Leads, learning from committed errors.

 As a Chapter Lead within the Tribe (WPS & Internal Apps), you specifically add value on the related technical foundational cross layers.

 In your tribe along with the rest of Expert Leads and/or ITALs,

  • ensure a highly skilled and motivated team
  • ensure a safe, open, experimental, continuous learning, collaborative culture
  • help improve our engineering and technical practices
  • are responsible of the transformation agenda applicable to the assets of the domain
  • are responsible of keeping the alignment with group standards
  • are responsible of ensuring the required levels of service in all environments with the assets under scope
  • are accountable of keeping audit readiness for assets and services under scope within IT Risk programe and any other applied regulations.

You continuously strive to develop both yourself and your colleagues in the WPS & IS mind-set.

 

This role requires emphasis on the following:

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and you’re passionate about foundational technologies (AD, Certificates, PKIs, SCCM, Azure-cloud,…)

  • You have a good feel on how everything works in the current and future Bank organization, and you understand the underlying spheres of influence.

  • Able to deal with the ambiguity of delivering fast and on-time as well as deliverables are audit ready and regulatory accomplished.
  • Chapter Craftsmanship responsible, guiding their team members through the HOW of the chapter technology for achieving the required goals and targets.
  • Able to manage direct reports thru continuous feedback, performance appraisals, engagement and helping/empowering them to achieve their self-developing (IDP, trainings paths,…) within the company.
  • Capable to deal with hiring process, onboardings, promotions and leavers process, depending of the stage and situation.

 

 What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on IT is a must, being engineering’s degree or equivalent a nice to have.
  • Passioned, accountable, resilience, committed and loving to collaborate with diverse and different people
  • Strong analytical, people management and communication skills
  • Able to work in an autonomous way taking the initiative
  • Making things happen and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Preferably with managerial experience within an agile organization, and inspiration to continuing working in this matter.

You have deep knowledge in IT Workplace, IT Functional areas (HR, Finance,..) and IT foundations within the discipline of foundational infrastructure environments and IT services. All of them thru a DevOps & Agile culture.

Able to design, implement & support a bunch of different IT solutions, including the integration of outsourced & SaaS solutions as well as head office intra-company provided services within intranet environments. And able to lead, all chapter IT projects with different stakeholders at all levels.

Able to operate at an advanced level of written and spoken communication, being fluent in Spanish & English as a must.

Owns proven experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies as well as with logging, monitoring and alerting, always keeping the audit readiness.

Has experience in design, planning, deploy and supporting IT solutions at local and international level.
