We are looking for an experienced performance engineer to join our Large Format Printing firmware community. The firmware of the printers are done by numerous teams and our mission is to build the best platform to scale our systems.


He/she work with the Firmware Performance lead and the Tools team and will be responsible for:


• Maintain and develop the tools required to analyze performance (timing), resource usage (memory, HDD, CPU) and memory leaks / corruption

• Definition of automated tests required to maintain the Firmware performance and robustness at the desired level and monitor their evolution over time

• Support integration in products of performance and robustness tests, working together with the Firmware Integrator and/or performance lead.

• Support developers in debugging and following up performance issues

• Document tools and process related to this asset.



Minimum skill set:

  • Electronic engineering/computer science or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role.
  • Proficiency on Python and/or C/C++.
  • Linux shell scripting.
  • Interest/motivation for software performance analysis.


Valuable:

  • High level of English speaking.
  • Proficiency in profilers, debuggers, tracers specially in Linux environment.
  • Understanding the performance of large-scale services.
