Currently we are looking for IT Architect to join one of the biggest banks in Cracow!

Overview:
The role is within the Wholesale Capital Markets IT team, which is part of the DBS IT division providing IT guidance, utilize frameworks and create designs to produce leading solutions within the Global Banking domain.

Responsible For: 

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with senior business and senior IT application Owners to help realize new approaches and potential problems 
  • Innovating with teams to create new solutions take develop architecture, IT and business processes to new heights 
  • Architectural design and documentation at a project or system level 
  • Ensuring all solutions are aligned with; architecture standards and principals, IT and business strategy and business objectives Making sure platforms meet the necessary security measures both internally and from external regulatory bodies, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Good knowledge of Software and Data Technologies (APIs, ODBC, Hadoop or equivalent)
  • Proven track record delivering visualization or MI solutions
  • Ability to communicate Architecture Designs at both a high level for Non-technical (Business) colleagues and a granular level for development teams
  • Experience in all phases of the agile Development Life Cycle
  • Experience in consuming web services (REST) and processing data (JSON)
  • Working knowledge on MS Visio
  • Experience with SQL or NOSQL databases 

Good to have: 

  • Experience of Microservice design
  • Familiarity with managing and designing infrastructure i.e. network, storage, DR and load balancing
  • Experience in developing reusable APIs
  • Knowledge of Java J2EE. Excellent knowledge of spring framework and Hibernate JPA
  • Experience collaborating with third party vendors and owning system integration
  • Cloud architecture 
  • Good knowledge of Jenkins or other CICD tools
  • Good knowledge of design patterns and ability to convert it into project deliverables 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Pragmatic / lean / agile development techniques
  • Comfortable operating in an agile development team, self starting, motivated
  • Takes ownership, pride in delivered work
  • Good deadline management and communication for delays, slippages
  • Experience engaging Senior management
