We’re extensively expanding our R&D Office in Poland, where we’re creating software mainly for automotive, mining & construction industries.
EazyStock is one of our main products - it’s a specialized solution within Syncron. Whilst Syncron’s client base is made up of large enterprises (e.g. Manitowoc, Mazda, DTNA and JCB), EazyStock works with small to medium-sized companies, helping them to optimize their inventories and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction without having excess capital tied up in redundant inventory.
ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE ROLE
In EazyStock, we want to combine our powerful engine with modern UI to address the needs of our customers. The development team is relatively small and includes the team leader, engineers, product owner, tester and UX designer – a group of dedicated experts, working in SCRUM (1-week long sprints). As we are a product company and the quality of our software has a direct impact on our customers’ revenue, the team thrives to produce high-quality code while releasing the new EazyStock version on a monthly basis.
In this role, 80% of your working time will be dedicated to backend activities.
Our tech stack: Java 11+, Hibernate 5.4+, Spring boot 2.1+, PostgreSQL 13+, IntelliJ, Angular 12+ (WebStorm), SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence, Gerrit, Jenkins, Miro
AS AN ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- participate in design and implementation of new backend features, using modern software design patterns:
- exposing engine's functionality with new REST endpoints,
- extending calculation engine;
- occasionally take part in the maintenance of an assigned piece of the product;
- provide full unit/integration test case coverage, as well as analyze and solve customer-reported bugs;
- occasionally expand and maintain connectors with other ERPs;
- work in a mixed team of junior and senior engineers under the guidance of an experienced technical lead;
- cooperate with people on non-developer positions within your team, as well as in a broader company context (Scrum Master, Testers, Data Scientists, UX Designers, Product Owners, Customer Support Specialists, DevOps Engineers, Architects, Technical Writers);
- participate in code reviews (as a part of internal CI pipeline) and occasionally in the internal analysis of incidents related to you and/or your team work;
- prepare appropriate documentation of implemented or changed functionalities, in English, targeted to internal stakeholders;
- learn and most importantly – gain knowledge and experience in a working environment.
WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- an ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code;
- good command of any object-oriented or functional language (Java preferred but not required);
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or being during last years of studies;
- availability to work app. 30 hours per week or more; full-time would be an asset (while having the flexibility during the day);
- (nice to have) knowledge of relational databases;
- (nice to have) familiarity with Hibernate or Spring;
- (nice to have) experience with Spring Boot.
