We are looking for a thoughtful, well-rounded and experienced iOS engineer to join our team and help build an application that people use every day to discover and listen to audio. You will play an important part in our mobile engineering practice, implementing new features, improving performance, and building beautiful user interfaces. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences audio.
We are currently hiring iOS Engineers in several teams in the Freemium mission. 
Touchdown: A team that supports features to support conversion of Spotify Free users to Premium. This role will lead in defining our team’s multi-surface strategy in an ever-changing Premium Conversion landscape.
Zero Friction: a team that owns the authentication experience on Spotify’s iOS and Android main clients. As a mature product, this gives us opportunities to experiment on a high throughput system that is very reactive to changes.
Ignite: They collect early user signals to deliver more relevant, personalised content to our new users within their first days and weeks with us. Their focus is to create such a cool experience for users that we’ll get them hooked on our app within this first period. We use machine learning models to find the right content for each individual user.
Override: Our focus is to drive growth on Spotify through (1) lyrics experiences that allow users to better connect with the music and artists, express themselves, and go deeper with the songs they love - as well as (2) improvements to the Free tier by removing friction to the play experience, in order to unlock big, step change opportunities for the overall experience.
What you'll do

  • Collaborate with a small, autonomous team of developers, designers, and product owners to find end-to-end solutions to important problems
  • Implement these solutions for our Spotify iOS client
  • Help your team solve problems in a way that makes sense for iOS users and our codebase
  • Join dozens of other developers and help to shape the direction of iOS development at Spotify
  • Flexibility to work from home/remotely!
Who you are

  • You have a deep understanding of modern iOS development
  • You know how to write readable, maintainable, performant Objective-C and Swift
  • You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
  • You have released at least one app or have a project in the works that you can tell us about
  • You value team success over individual success, caring about mentoring other software engineers and supporting a psychologically safe environment
  • You are comfortable crafting technical strategies across clients and disciplines
