The opportunity

 

We are looking for a CORE JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE to join our team

 

Main responsabilities

 

  • Develop and maintain scalable and robust Java based backend applications, such as J2EE
  • Analyze and identify requirements and define technical solutions
  • Collaborate in the design of architecture, technical solutions and structure for projects
  • Apply outstanding software engineering practices.
  • Maintain high standards of design and code quality at all times
  • Apply state-of-the-art automated testing practices (unit, component, integration tests).
  • Work on packaging and automated deployment of server software.

 

Experience ans Skills required

 

  • Engineering Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a J2EE Developer
  • A solid foundation in computer science theory.
  • Knowledge of Patterns and Good Practices to design and develop quality and clean code.
  • Extensive experience in leading-edge, Java-based projects
  • Continuous Integration tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins
  •  Skilled in common Java frameworks, like Spring, Hibernate.
  • Version control tools such as SVN and GIT
  • Skilled in automated unit and system testing.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, like Oracle, MySQL.
  • Experience with functional or reactive programming a plus.
  • Experience working with front-end developers and REST applications
  • Familiar with the Linux environment, including shell scripting and software packaging.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM is a plus.
  • Team player in a multi-cultural working environment with ability to work independently.
  • Contribute to product innovation ideas, prototypes, functional and design specifications in addition to production software
