Wireless System Engineer - Cellular en Madrid, Madrid, Spain

Join our wireless organization and drive innovation that matters! We’re looking for engineers with good fundamentals in RF, Cellular Networks, System Integration, wireless communications, signal processing or scientific software to join any of our Wireless teams in Apple's Product RF Organization These teams of world-class engineers help architect and design the best wireless products at Apple. All members of the team bring their own unique expertise to collectively take wireless technologies to product implementation stages following the principles and practices of excellence that characterize Apple culture.

Key Qualifications
  • Good understanding of RF fundamentals and communication theory
  • Good understanding of cellular radiation performance of UEs.
  • Scripting or programming experience for data analysis using either, Matlab, Python, C or C++.
  • Good understanding of cellular network features and familiarity with current deployments across carrier networks.
  • Deep understanding of cellular radio standards (5G-NR, LTE, etc)
  • Basic understanding of non cellular wireless standards (WIFI, BT, UWB)
  • Knowledge on deployment strategies for FR1 and FR2 bands.
  • Knowledge and meaningful experience working with cellular network KPIs such as RSRP, RSRQ, RSSI, etc.
  • Experience with IMS projects (VoLTE, WiFi Calling, ViLTE).
  • Experience in testing in anechoic chambers, and with RF test equipment
  • Proficiency in leading technical initiatives across functional organization and with external partners
  • Strong energy and drive to thrive in a start-up like environment
  • Traveling up to 15% of the time may be required

Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering is needed and we highly value Master degrees and PhD/Doctorate. If this is you, we'd love to hear from you.
